I Don't Have A Pearl Earring - What I Have Is A Vision

Although the past few months have been challenging in many ways, staying connected to my movement and meditation practices and connecting with like-minded souls during this time has been a blessing.

I never in a million years would've guessed I'd be doing what I'm doing now.

Teaching? Me? In front of others? NO WAY!

Well now it feels like it's my calling. I have no idea how that happened, lol, but it has, and again, it's truly a blessing.

We never know where we will end up.

I don't even know where I'll be next week or in a month. And that's ok. That is life. And when we can be okay with the unknown, and have a curious perspective rather than a fearful one, life will flow with more ease. Give it a shot!

When you allow life to flow, things open up in ways you can't even imagine.

Now I'm teaching movement, plus other tools, that have helped me along my own healing journey throughout the years.

I’ve also recently become a part of an amazing group of souls in a community and lifestyle-based company sharing a brand new line of clothing that I absolutely love. It's an opportunity to grow and share and empower others.

The journey thus far has not come without challenges; physically, mentally and more. Heck we all have challenges along the journey at some point. But this journey has guided me to this unique point. I am thankful for all those challenges and for the people who have supported me and helped guide me through.

I want to share a story of one of the main souls who guided me on my healing journey. She shared a movie with me years ago called, The Girl With The Pearl Earring, starring Scarlett Johansson. I saw that movie before she mentioned it to me, and I liked it. I felt there was a deeper meaning to that movie, but really didn’t comprehend it fully.

The person who shared that movie with me, explained it more in a spiritual context. So of course I had to go and watch it again more closely. This time I watched the characters in terms of the activity and creative expression of the soul, ego identity, the witness, etc.

After I watched that movie again more closely, I came to understand how art, fashion, architecture and the like, all have the same opportunity for soul expression. I already felt this way about musicians and dancers and singers and even competitive athletes. These are all forms in which the Soul expresses itself. And through these forms, we are blessed with creative expression. When this creative expression comes from Truth, it is the way the Soul expresses itself. Ego tries to imitate this expression, but it cannot. It's a copycat, or as they say in the fashion biz, a knockoff.

Why am I telling you this? Because getting back to the community and lifestyle-based company I was speaking of, well, it’s the main reason why I decided to parter with them. It just felt good in my gut.

Fashion and accessories are a way that the Soul expresses itself.

I understood that more after watching The Girl With The Pearl Earring the second time with this new perspective. And funny how I actually watched it again around the beginning of this year. And this amazing opportunity came to me in April when a friend shared it with me.

I’m not a big shopper. I like simple things and simplicity. And I have been wanting to simplify my clothing for a very long time. Partnering in this business has not only opened me up to a whole community of amazing souls, but believe or not, it has helped me simplify my closet!

I’ve gotten rid of 3 big bags of clothing, about 8 pairs of shoes and more. I also consolidated my socks too! LOL! (I can be quite a sock junkie!)

Clothing in itself may not be a big deal. But put a piece of clothing that was manifested and designed via the creative activity of one's Soul…..that my friends, is no ordinary piece of clothing. And that's how this company creates its clothing.

Fashion, in many ways, is built on imitation. There is ego out there for sure in the fashion world. But wearing mindfully designed clothing made with Love and by folks on a mission to support others to discover their own creative activity of the Soul, is the kind of fashion company I want to be involved with! I want to empower others to live their best lives and on their terms. And to squash the conditioning that says that cannot be done!

I have a big vision.

I live in activewear; leggings, sports bras, comfy tees and tanks. And a lot of women I hang out with do too. This whole opportunity has been a beaming light in the midst of chaos that's been happening in the world at this time. It’s simple and fun and duplicatable and who doesn’t love to wear cute, comfy clothes to express their unique Soul?!!

And although I may not be a girl with a pearl earring, I am a girl with a big ginormous vision who wants to team up with other women with big visions too!
