We hear from many different sources 'out there' that it's all about the journey, not the destination.
In this video I am demonstrating a couple big milestones that happened for me today.
Since I fractured my kneecap in July, this is the first time I've been able to do two particular poses fully - Bow Pose and Wheel Pose (Danurasana and Urdhva Danurasana).
The real key thing to know though is this --> that for me it's not about actually being able to get into the full pose. Those things are more of an assessment for me. And it's not actually about looking amazing in each pose either. If that was key for me, I wouldn't be posting these poses out there on the internet.
For me it's about what I feel and sense within me when I'm in a pose....that's where the true learning and transformation occurs for me.
This video has a lot more to say than just the poses it's showing.
In mid July I fell and fractured my knee cap. Yea, what a great thing for a yoga teacher to do, eh?!
Luckily it was a non-displaced fracture which means my bone stayed together so I didn't need surgery......yay!
I've had a daily practice of some sort for over the past year and a half now. A steady practice meaning every, single day.
My practice includes some or all of the following:
Forming this practice stemmed from the many years I dealt with and suffered from anxiety. Then once I become a yoga teacher my practice evolved a bit. Then again it evolved and changed and become significantly more consistent after I took a yoga & Ayurveda Teacher Training. Now, like I said above, I practice every single day. Some days a shorter practice. Some days a longer practice. But I do something.
Here is the conclusion of my 4-part where-the-heck-did-I-get-the-name WHAT'S YOUR MUD? story.
I hope you have enjoyed the journey!

Can you really feel the difference in just 1 minute?!!
Yes you can!
I just uploaded a new 1-minute Kapha Busting Yoga Routine at the Inner Peace Hut.
Keep reading to learn how to access the video and to also discover how to change it up if you are Vata or Pitta dosha.
No more excuses!
KAPHA BUSTING 1 MINUTE ROUTINE
Great for Spring time or any time you feel lethargic and unmotivated, especially if you're kapha dosha ;).
[Don't know your Prakriti or constitution? (which is your unique combination of the 3 doshas that you were born with) then you can snag my dosha quiz which you can sign up to receive at bottom of WHAT'S YOUR MUD? home page.]
At the moment I'm writing this, it's still Spring where I live. And although it's getting warmer by the day, for those of us who have a lot of kapha dosha in us, we can still feel the effects of the 2 elements associated with spring time.
The 2 elements associated with Spring are water and earth.
Spring time is...
I thought it was about time I shared where I got the name WHAT'S YOUR MUD?
This is Part 1 of 4.
Hope you enjoy.

I wanted to share a message with you for this next year.
It started with what I've been reflecting on bringing into this new year in terms of my own continually evolving inner work and my work with helping other folks who are ready, to dive deeper into their own healing journey.
And this morning when I got up and after I walked my pup, I wanted to pick a card. The Ganesha deck called out to me and so that's the one I went with.
I asked 'What is a key message for this new year?'
And it is 'healing' as you can see in the card above.
It's amazing how many times the message is so spot on!
So with that, here's my message and new year's wish for you:
moments of seeing the beauty right in front of you
pauses of quiet and solitude
moments of full awareness when listening to those you love
pauses of deep gratitude
moments of peace and joy
pauses for nice deep breaths
moments of truth
pauses for reflection
moments of deep clarity
pauses where...

So I have a funny example about having your own life experience around something.
************
Last year when I chose to have a colonoscopy, I started mentioning it to some people & I started getting all these reactions and stories about their experience. Well, I probably should've kept it to myself! LOL.
************
So after hearing a ton of stories, I did decide to keep it to myself, to support myself through the process best I could, and have MY OWN experience around it.
************
And you know what? Since I had no stories created around it, the experience was my own and it all went fine without any added drama.
************
Not only that but I was not anxious or nervous at all, and I have not been put under since five years old when I had my tonsils out. Hence, less stories floating around in the mind, less chance of anxiety and nerves coming...
